Game Troubleshooting: PLEASE READ BEFORE EDITING
- Make sure your USB device works and is stable before reporting games that don't work. See USB Devices Compatibility List
- Make sure your USB device isn't overheating due to long usage when reporting crashes.
- Make sure you don't just have a bad dump (bad game copy). If it's a game others have given a green light, that is a strong possibility. Throw away the game iso and reload from an uncorrupted source.
- Other USB devices, especially USB LAN adapter, might interfere with the loader. When testing, unplug the LAN adapter and delete the 'Wired Connection' profile if the wifi-enabled game freezes.
- If your game uses USB peripheral game controllers (guitars, mics, etc.) check out the Rock Guide
- Some games seem to require a disc (any game) in the drive to work. When testing, first try without any disc in the drive. If it only works with a disc in the drive, add that in the Notes column.
- Think you need the Anti-002 fix? You probably don't.
- For more troubleshooting information, read WiiPower's Compatibility Guide.
Posting Guidelines: PLEASE READ BEFORE EDITING
- Please mention what loader and version you are using in the 'notes' section if you are having an issue.
- If a game is working it doesn't always make it green, as titles marked green should be/are 99.9-100% compatible. See color chart below.
- The Notes section is only for quirks regarding the way the game plays with the loader. Notes like 'Works Great' are not needed and simply add clutter.
- Regarding regions, please don't take an existing entry and completely change the region - start a new entry, or add it ALONG with the existing region.
- Extended Information to be placed at the bottom of the page, only for games that are marked as not working for most people, but working for some. only people who have it working should post info.
- If you are the first person to add a game then the confirmed column should read 0 (as it is unconfirmed). Every person should then add 1 to that when they have tested it as working and change the confirmation date.

Metroid Prime: Trilogy | Works | NTSC-U | R3ME01 | 7.59G | Run the game normally, select a Mii and create a save profile, then exit. Individual games are then playable using alt.dol methods - rs5mp1_p.dol=Metroid Prime 1, rs5mp2_p.dol=Metroid Prime 2 and rs5mp3_p.dol=Metroid Prime 3. cIOS38 rev 14 doesn't require a disk in the drive to play the games but as dual layer support is broken Hermes cIOS222 or similar must be used to play Metroid Prime 3 with 'any disk' in the drive. There's no way to choose the save slot, difficulty or play Metroid Prime 2 Multi-player using alt.dol methods. UPDATE: Use the cIOS rev21d2x6 with base 56 and Neogamma, CFG, or USB Loader GX. Select the new 'Block IOS Reload' option (or set it to auto for USB loader GX) and it works on a WBFS formatted drive (and NTFS drive with USB Loader GX). NOTE: using USB loader GX settings the multiplayer game is also functional!!! :-) | 2 | 02Jul2011 |

Games For Usb Loader Gx
Translate this page to Francais日本語EspañolDeutschItaliano中文Nederlands
Today I modded the household Wii and put my copies of Mario Kart Double Dash and Mario Kart Wii onto a flash drive to play, since I don't have the discs. I'll describe the process I went through in case anyone else wants to do the same.
I can't play online with CTGP Revolution because I still don't have a game disc. I'll pick one up from a second-hand shop or wait for one online to have a good price.
Free Games For Usb Drive
I'm using LetterBomb, cIOS, USB Loader GX, YAWMM, and Nintendont.
You'll need an SD card and a USB drive, both formatted as FAT32. Apparently the USB can also be formatted as NTFS. I don't know if this is true or not.
- Connect your Wii to the internet. Yeah, you do need to. I tried doing it without.
- Get LetterBomb and choose to bundle the HackMii installer. Fill in your details. Cut a wire. Save the file. Extract it to the root of your SD.
- Download cIOS. (Source.) Extract it to the root of the SD. Your SD should now contain
/apps/d2x-cios-installer/*
. - Download USB Loader GX. Save the file. Extract it to the root of the SD. Your SD should now also contain
/apps/usbloader-gx/*
. - Create a folder named
wad
in the root of your SD. - Download the USB Loader GX channel forwarder WAD file. Put it into the
wad
folder on your SD. - Download YAWMM_EN from this site. Extract it into the existing
apps
folder. Your SD should now also contain/apps/YAWMM_EN/*
. - Download the Nintendont DOL. Save it to
/apps/nintendont/boot.dol
(must be that exact name). - Download the other Nintendont files from this folder specifically and put them into the same folder on the SD next to
boot.dol
. - The SD is ready. Put it into the Wii.
- On the Wii menu, go to the letter icon in the corner. Browse forwards or backwards a few days until you find the bomb. Click the bomb.
- Wait a moment to be able to skip the scam warning screen.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to install the Homebrew Channel. You can probably install BootMii too, I don't know if it's important. I'm not sure if I did or not.
- Launch the Homebrew Channel. Make sure you can see USB Loader GX, d2x's cIOS installer, YAWMM, and Nintendont.
- Start d2x's cIOS installer.
- Launch the Homebrew Channel again and select USB Loader GX. Make sure it starts.
- Launch the Homebrew Channel again and select YAWMM. Install the WAD you downloaded before in the
wad
folder using the on screen instructions. You should be able to figure it out. - If you already have game ISO/WBFS files, you'll need to do this step. Create a folder on the USB named
wbfs
for Wii games, and a folder namedgames
for Gamecube games. To add a game, make a folder namedGame Title [GAMECODE]
inside eitherwbfs
orgames
, then put your WBFS file inside it, namedGAMECODE.wbfs
. Gamecube games are similar, but the file is namedgame.iso
(literally that). For example, you might have the structure/wbfs/Mario Kart Wii [RMCP01
/RMCP01.wbfs]. - Put the USB into the Wii. If the Wii is standing vertically and you're looking at it from above, the USB should go in the slot on the left, the one that's closer to the edge.
- Go to the Wii menu and launch the new USB Loader GX channel.
- If you have game discs, insert each disc and press
+
to copy the game disc to the USB drive. - Once you've copied all your games, press 1 to download covers for your games. You'll need to relaunch USB Loader GX after doing this.
- You can now play your games!
Good luck. I hope I didn't forget anything.
